Introduction to Breastfeeding Support online short course

 

Marian Tompson (founding member of La Leche League International) said that “breastfeeding is more than just putting the baby to the breast and letting nature take its course”. Mothers and families need support – both to get started and to sustain breastfeeding. A combination of lay and professional support is what helps families reach their breastfeeding goals.

 

The Introduction to Breastfeeding Support online SHORT course presented by La Leche League South Africa aims to start training anyone who provides support to families during their pregnancy; birth & early postpartum period, to start increase the supporter’s competence, knowledge and skills in breastfeeding promotion, management, support & techniques to help mothers breastfeed.

 

The Introduction to Breastfeeding Support SHORT course (@R550) is presented as a 5 hour recording plus homework. Participants can also download a 75 page handout. After completion of short course homework, homework will be reviewed, feedback provided and a certificate sent.
